The MRCP PACES June–August 2024 Exam Booking Window is About to Close: Important Information for Foreign Medical Students
Are you a prospective foreign medical student getting ready for the MRCP PACES exam? I have some crucial news to share with you. The MRCP PACES June–August 2024 exam application deadlines have been issued by the Royal College of Physicians. As of right now, candidates for the MRCP PACES programme can begin submitting their applications until February 26, 2024, according to the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
MRCP PACES Exam
The MRCP(UK) Part 2 Clinical Examination (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills — PACES), the third and last step towards becoming a proud member of the RCP, is intended to assess the clinical knowledge and abilities of trainee physicians aspiring to advance to higher specialised training (ST3). Prior to taking PACES, you had to have passed the Part 1 written test within the previous seven years. The exam establishes strict criteria to verify your proficiency in a variety of abilities, guaranteeing that you are prepared to offer patients the best possible care.
What’s involved in PACES?
Your proficiency in performing critical clinical tasks is evaluated. This half-day assessment is conducted in a clinical environment, such as a hospital or clinical skills centre. There are five clinical stations with either trained surrogates or patients with specific conditions. Two impartial examiners will watch and assess the candidates’ performance at each station.
Things to take note while applying!
Applicants may use the MRCP (UK) application website to submit their applications. Upon successfully confirming their reservation, candidates will receive an admission document with details on the day and venue of the exam. Recall that RCP reserves the right to adjust the exam dates as needed. The MRCP exams are scheduled to take place in June through August. Any day within the assessment period, including Saturdays and Sundays, may be the exam day.
In order to be eligible for the MRCP PACES exam, you must submit your application by the deadline. RCP will not accept applications sent after February 26. For this reason, if becoming a doctor in the UK is your dream, don’t forget to submit your application on time.
